FREE K-12 PROGRAMS
Each season, this program impacts thousands of students in schools across the city, introducing opera's rich storytelling tradition in a fun, accessible way.
Student Matinees offer curated, kid-friendly performances in collaboration with local theaters, providing unique field trip opportunities to experience the magic of opera during school hours.
TRAINING PROGRAMS
The Young Artist Program is an intensive training program established in partnership with The Orchestra San Antonio, which focuses on opera and orchestral vocal music during the summer 210 Festival. More details coming soon.
As a grant recipient of the Bexar County Arts Internship Program, OPERA San Antonio is able to employ an Education & Marketing Intern who works directly with the Director of Education to assist in a range of programs and activities each summer.

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS FOR FAMILIES
Explore Opera for Kids! is designed to spark curiosity and excitement for opera in young audiences in local libraries. With professional artists performing scenes from iconic operas, this family-friendly experience blends storytelling, music, and imagination—making opera fun, accessible, and memorable for all ages.
OSA’s annual Holiday Pop-up Tour spreads holiday cheer throughout the community with performances of traditional carols sprinkled with opera classics. From featured concerts to pop-ups in hospitals and grocery stores, OSA spreads joy through the power of music.
COMMUNITY PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS
Each season, the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM), OPERA San Antonio, and The Tobin Center join together to offer Spanish-language opera appreciation workshops. Participants explore the rich history, themes, and musical nuances of the selected operas, guided by a guest lecturer, culminating in the attendance of an OSA production at The Tobin Center.
Cocktails & Conversation allows patrons to connect with OSA leadership and staff as they lend their experience and insight into an upcoming opera production through guided conversation accompanied by light libations.
