Photo by Inga Cotton Study Guide Each season, study guides are created for each opera production. These guides include an extensive educational overview of the production, as well as information on the age-appropriate subject matter for each production. This gives parents and educators an opportunity to learn about the art form, and to educate their children or students. Study Guides are made available online and are distributed to area schools each season.  Want to be on that distribution? Sign up by emailing education@operasa.org.

Pre-Opera Lectures
Prior to each opera performance, a lecture is provided to any ticket-holder beginning an hour before curtain. These lectures are designed to be educational for opera-goers of all ages and help the audience gain a better understanding of the production as well as the art form itself.
Dr. Kevin Salfen of UIW gives the pre-opera lecture for Verdi's Macbeth, 2017
OPERA SA Chorus OPERA San Antonio provide a local opportunity for a number of San Antonio and regional artists in its seasonal chorus, which rehearses several months out of the year. Members of this chorus participate in mainstage productions as required by the opera productions, but they are also asked to participate in other concerts and outreach events on an individual basis. OSA Chorus is a paying opportunity for our community's local talent. Artists may sign up to receive notification of auditions, by clicking here.     Thank you to our education partners!
