Performance at 7:00 pm Gala at 9:00 pm

On January 28, 2026, OSA will host "A Starlit Night," a concert and gala featuring internationally celebrated mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard, accompanied by her longtime collaborator, John Arida, on piano, and a string quartet from The Orchestra San Antonio. Ms. Leonard was in San Antonio as the featured speaker for the McNay Art Museum in September 2024. She was an exceptionally charismatic speaker, and her singing was stirring, even bringing some of the attendees to tears. Because of that engagement, she now has a following in San Antonio. Her return is anticipated to be a major draw for both longtime fans and new audiences. This elegant evening at The Tobin Center will be the first time we present an artist of Ms. Leonard’s caliber for a winter gala. Her luminous artistry and magnetic stage presence promise to make this event a highlight of San Antonio’s cultural season, inspiring both gala patrons and general audiences alike.

By sponsoring a table at The Opera Gala you will be helping OPERA San Antonio continue to fulfill its great mission of bringing opera to our city. In addition to having provided nine seasons of high-quality operatic performances, OSA has been committed to bringing opera to the community. Last year OSA visited 50 schools and shared school time performances at 3 theatres across the county, introducing 13,102 students of all ages to the world of opera. For the final dress rehearsals and performances last season, free seats were given to 607 veterans, along with 100 schools for a total of 5,303 attendees.

Opera is an art form that elevates hearts and minds.  OSA provides first-class performing arts for us all.
