Auditions for the Emerging Artists Voice Intensive will take place in two rounds.
Round One: Video Submission (Required)
All applicants must begin with a video audition. Submissions will be reviewed by OPERA San Antonio faculty, and selected singers will be invited to participate in live auditions.
This intensive is designed for students in grades 10–12, including recent graduates who are serious about pursuing vocal performance and preparing for collegiate-level study in music, opera, or musical theatre. Exceptional singers of other ages are welcome to apply; admission is based on readiness, potential, and commitment rather than age alone.
Selected artists must be available in San Antonio for the full duration of the program, June 22–27, 2026. Due to the immersive nature of the experience, full participation is required.
Space is extremely limited.
Round Two: In-Person Auditions (By Invitation Only)
Selected applicants will be invited to attend a live audition:
Friday, March 27
Radius Center | San Antonio, TX
Invited singers will receive additional details regarding scheduling, repertoire, and accompanist information.
Selection, Tuition & Scholarships
Selected participants will be notified by Friday, April 3.
Participation in the Emerging Artists Voice Intensive includes a tuition fee, which will be shared at the time of acceptance. As this is the pilot year of the program, enrollment is intentionally small to allow for focused mentorship and individualized instruction.
Need-based scholarships are available for promising talent, and applicants are encouraged to apply regardless of financial circumstances.
