OPERA Meets Broadway is a one-of-a-kind student matinee where opera’s soaring arias meet Broadway’s showstopping hits! Professional artists from OPERA San Antonio bring both traditions to life in a high-energy performance that is fun, accessible, and educational. With TEKS connections built in, this program introduces students to the power of live performance, the thrill of storytelling through music, and the magic that unites two art forms that have shaped music history—all in one unforgettable event.
Join us for a special matinee performance of OPERA al la carte, an event designed to introduce students to the enchanting world of opera! This educational and engaging experience features a selection of famous arias and scenes, showcasing the power and beauty of operatic music. Students will have the opportunity to explore different voice types and experience the magic of live theater, where music, drama, and storytelling converge. Perfect for young audiences, this program will inspire a love for the arts and provide a memorable cultural experience.
